Naš malen planet Zemlja trenutno osjeća veliki pritisak. Gurnut je do svojih granica, odnosno do onoga što znanstvenici nazivaju „planetarnim granicama”.

Kako samo pohlepna može biti globalna proizvodnja hrane. Odgovorna je za približno trećinu ukupnih emisija CO₂, koristi polovicu nastanjive površine planeta i troši oko 70 % dostupne pitke vode. Zbog širenja poljoprivrede mnoge su biljne i životinjske vrste izgubile svoja prirodna staništa. Zbog toga ono što jedemo zaista može napraviti razliku.
